spring striper fishing in weldon
Spring is officially here and each may that means striper fishing in weldon North Carolina . Thousand of fish each year travel up the Roanoke river out of Albemarle sound to spawn. This unique fishery provides anglers to catch striped bass in a river system like no other. Fishing from a jet boat allows us to access parts of the river that other boats can’t get to. The bass will stack up behind rocks and off of fast current to ambush their prey. We can target these fish on fly and conventional gear using clouser minnows and jigging flukes and swim baits. We also get a good top water bite that be explosive with low light and cloudy days. Striped bass don’t like the high light and will go deep during mid day periods because of that we run two trips a day for them. Mornings start at 6am till noon and second half starting fro 2pm till dusk.
If you're looking to catch striped bass in the striper capital of the world I do still have a few dates open . fill out a contact form and we can discuss dates and getting you out for a exciting day of fishing.
